Privacy and POPIA notice.

This notice explains what personal information Oikonomia Resources (Pty) Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, how we store it and what rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

We only collect what you type into one of the two forms on this site:

• Your name
• Your organisation or fund, if you give one
• Your email address and phone number
• On the investor enquiry form: the commodity you are interested in, the investment range you work in, and your preferred transaction structure
• The message you write, and which page of the site you submitted it from

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site, and we do not track you across other websites.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to carry on the resulting business conversation. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry addressed to us. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Where it is stored

Submissions are emailed to us and are also written to a private enquiry record that only authorised people at Oikonomia Resources can sign in to and read. That record is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the European Union, via Supabase. Your information may therefore be processed outside South Africa, on infrastructure that provides a level of protection substantially similar to that required by POPIA.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as the business relationship or the prospect of one remains live, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete it
• Object to us processing it
• Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe we have handled your information improperly

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the enquiry record requires an individual login, and it is restricted to named people at Oikonomia Resources. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, though no system can be guaranteed against every risk.
